Hey Everybody,
How are you doing? Welcome to the New Year!! How did the celebrations go? Had some fun? Do tell us...I'd definitely like to know from all of you on what 'celebration' means to you and how each one of you defines it. Spare a thought for a moment, if we begin this new year on a spiritual note and believe that each day of our life is a gift from God and a moment of celebration, love and gratitude...then probably we wouldn't have the onuses of certain days of the year to remind us of it all!
Anyway...let's get on with some more updates from our end. Remember in our last month's posting we mentioned of Tom Cruise's visit to India for the promotions of his film Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol and a special fan screening that took place in Mumbai,India and how it might have been a missed chance for his fans (including us!) when they weren't among the lucky few to be invited for the red carpet premiere...Anyway...Tom Cruise made it up for us..nope not in person but on twitter! But we sure hope to meet him though! :-)
Am sure that you all very well know that our Hollywood heart-throb is ever so active on twitter that he not only follows his fans but is so gracious that he even replies and retweets them as well. Touchwood! And now it so happened that on his promotional tour, the actor invited questions over twitter on his film and our question was one among those he chose to answer at the New York city premiere of his film. The charming actor on video said 'Hi Sonyaa!' and answered our question as well. You don't believe us yet...then check it out right here!! :-)
Here's our question -
And here's the response!
(Watch the video below as Tom Cruise answers our question)
We thank Tom Cruise for answering our question-
And here's the retweet we got from the actor!
Howzzzatt!!! Aint that cool??! Now that's the way celebrities should be....Tom Cruise could very well give them a lesson or two on it! Need I say more?!
Well...B.O updates tell us that this X'mas and in the New Year, Mission Impossible continues to dominate on the top spot...and I couldn't agree more! Cheerio!! You've got to watch the film to believe it...mindblowing action sequences as Ethan Hunt races against time to prevent a nuclear war, Tom Cruise scaling the famous Burj Khalifa (yep..he's actually done his own stunts in the film...can you believe it!!) and the IMF team globe-trotting on their latest mission! Tom Cruise...it's definitely mission acccomplished as far as your fans are concerned!! :)
In the new year, once again get ready to welcome the rocker Stacee Jaxx reprised by Tom Cruise in Adam Shankman's Rock of Ages! And you never know it could be Tom Cruise's golden ticket to the Oscars (Pssst...the jury love musicals and if you don't believe me then look out for Sound of Music,Chicago, Dreamgirls, Walk the Line,Ray,Almost Famous... now you know what I'm talking about!).
Though I know that it's too early to tell, but goss is that Daniel Day Lewis is all set to explode the screen in his new avatar as he plays president of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln in the biopic Lincoln...will he be third time lucky? (Hope you guys know that Daniel Day Lewis is a two time Academy Award winner for his stellar performances in My Left Foot and There Will be Blood).
And yep...after his highly acclaimed film The King's Speech, Tom Hooper comes up with Les Misérables starring Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway...whose year will it be? And who will emerge the winner? Now for that we'll have to just wait and watch for 2012 to unfold!
Hey...did you watch the official trailer of The Dark Knight Rises? The trailer didn't give me a punch...Bane is good, but not scary enough as the Joker! In the Dark Knight, Ledger's entry as the Joker really scares the daylights out of you with his freaky looks, garish make-up and psychotic demeanour...What say? Check out the trailers of both the films - The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and tell me what you think of it.. Of course I know, we can't judge the film from some two odd minutes trailer and Chris Nolan's epic end to the series would definitely be a dynamite...but couldn't help commenting! :-) I'm game for this one too as The Dark Knight releases in the summer of 2012! In the meanwhile, I hope Nolan has a change of mind about putting an end to the Batman series....because from the age of six to sixty, the old and young...everyone loves the idea of a masked superhero fighting the bad!
Anyway..now before I jabber on and on...it's time to say good bye! Best wishes to all my readers for the New Year!!
Take care and God Bless
Love,
Sonyaa
