SONYAA's RANDOM MUSINGS HITS A CENTURY: REMINISCING A WONDERFUL JOURNEY SO FAR & MUCH MORE...

Hi Friends,

How are you doing? Hope all's well at your end. This month's post is special because Sonyaa's Random Musings hits a CENTURY! Yes,you read that right... this is my 100th post on Sonyaa's Random Musings! Cheers!!

Today,I fondly look back at this wonderful journey that began seven years ago when my father prodded me towards putting my writing skills into practice by starting a blog.He knew from the start about my love for films (both front and behind the camera), thus he encouraged me to pen down my thoughts on the same and collate them in the form of a well-structured blog. He believed that blogging was a powerful platform to network and interact with like-minded people and professionals from different walks of life who shared the same passion for films. And thus, I am eternally grateful to my father on his much cherished vision for Sonyaa's Random Musings!

Though I am not a pro when it comes to writing about cinema...but I do believe each one of us has a view and perspective to share and so doI! :) During the initial years of blogging,I would oft pour my heart out on varied topics like current issues, politics, spirituality and of course, films until I decided to make it a niche blog purely on and about films and the vast canvas it encompasses.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hi Friends,
How have you been? Trust all's well at your end? I do hope you liked the teaser of my short film which I unveiled in my last month's post? Any feedback? In case you haven't had a chance to watch it, then click here.

Anyway, shifting focus to the topic of this month's blog post...Thanksgiving is around the corner and I thought of writing in on what "Thanksgiving" means to me and a story from the Bible that inspires me each time I read it, which I thought of sharing with you as well.

Though, I've always maintained from the start that everyday of our lives is Thanksgiving, since it encompasses the priceless gifts of everyday joys like Love, Peace, Well-being, Abundance and the Fellowship of our Families, Neighbors, Friends and Communities.

PRAYING FOR OUR TODAY & TOMORROW

Hey Everybody,
Howdy? Hope all's well with you and your loved ones by the grace of God. These days life in itself has become so uncertain and unpredictable...while all seems well at this moment,no one can fathom what's in store few moments hence...
Of earthquakes, tsunamis & threat of nuclear radiations...

A new day holds a new promise of something new where our life encapsulates our journey, our relationships and celebration of some of our most cherished moments be it birth, marriage, anniversaries, success, friendships, unions,re-unions etc which we treasure as memories... And that's precisely the way our Japanese brethren had gone about their day....but no one would have in their wildest of dreams had envisaged that in the next few seconds their lives would have been washed away by the spate of tsunamis and earthquakes that rocked their country early last month and the subsequent threat of radiations looming large from their nuclear reactors adding woes to their misery.
