HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Anyway, shifting focus to the topic of this month's blog post...Thanksgiving is around the corner and I thought of writing in on what "Thanksgiving" means to me and a story from the Bible that inspires me each time I read it, which I thought of sharing with you as well.

Though, I've always maintained from the start that everyday of our lives is Thanksgiving, since it encompasses the priceless gifts of everyday joys like Love, Peace, Well-being, Abundance and the Fellowship of our Families, Neighbors, Friends and Communities. 

RECOUNTING JULY: A MONTH THAT WAS NOT TO BE...

How have you been? Trust all's well at your end! Let's do a quick run-down on all that transpired in the month gone by...

Preparations for the 2012 London Olympics are not underway...but they're all set to host the games even today as they are already showcasing the medals to be given to the winners next year! Now cut to last year,same time in August 2010...ten days before the countdown to  the prestigious Commonwealth games we were yet repairing our stadiums,the grounds, the residential complex and in some places construction was still under way! In India,they'd call it the 'jugaad' culture...now go google it out to find out what that means!

PRAYING FOR OUR TODAY & TOMORROW

Howdy? Hope all's well with you and your loved ones by the grace of God. These days life in itself has become so uncertain and unpredictable...while all seems well at this moment,no one can fathom what's in store few moments hence... 

Of earthquakes, tsunamis & threat of nuclear radiations...

A new day holds a new promise of something new where our life encapsulates our journey,our relationships and celebration of some of our most cherished moments be it birth, marriage, anniversaries, success, friendships, unions,re-unions etc which we treasure as memories... And that's precisely the way our Japanese brethren had gone about their day....but no one would have in their wildest of dreams had envisaged that in the next few seconds their lives would have been washed away by the spate of tsunamis and earthquakes that rocked their country early last month and the subsequent threat of radiations looming large from their nuclear reactors adding woes to their misery.

MISSING "SUNSHINE"....

28th August 2009, Friday - Who is a friend? Someone who stands by you or even silently supports you and sees you through all odds....no matter how tough it may be.Today my little friend battles for life but am trying to be strong by praying and affirming to know that he is an idea of God, made in His own image and likeness and thus reflects perfect health, joy and energy.This little loyal friend, companion who stood the test of time during my 4 year long stay in a lonely city of Bombay is my pet rabbit whom we called Sunshine...and fondly he had earned a nickname too, we also called him Miko!
